The Conservatory

    He had heard of this place amoungst the whispers of his kind, and yet had never ventured forth from his own home to see it. They say she waits there. Patiently. Quietly. Welcoming all who are weary. Perhaps. Just perhaps, she could answer questions that had long been on Theos mind. He had entered the structure quietly, attempting not to draw attention to himself. It was unlike anything he had seen before, and a sense of peace washed over him. There were esks of all kinds gathered, every biome of the far reaches in harmony under one vast never endging glass celing. This place was like a home, and yet so much more. Gently, theo treaded the grassy floors, each step with a feeling of renewal as he glided towards a large dark figure in the distance. She was larger than he had expected. In fact, he had never been so close to one larger than him, but when her eyes met his own he was calmed. A beconing glance and a gently shift of weight were all that was needed to draw theo closer and nestle before her. The largest trees, even breaking through the glass roof still seemed no match for her, and yet not a thing beside her was out of place. He glanced up. Where should he start? What should he ask? There was so many things unknown to him. So many things he was unsure of. But somehow. He knew. Glancing up at those dark understanding eyes. He would be all right.
